WHY FARM FRESH EGGS?
Happy hens make delicious eggs! Our pasture-raised (free to roam the farm) chickens consume nutrients you can’t find in store bought eggs. They dine on food scraps, bugs, grass, herbs and grain. This diet contributes to an egg with a whole lot of flavor and is more what nature had in mind for a chicken.

Our family of birds is a mixed flock and they lay brown, white, green and speckled eggs.

Top Reasons to feel good about farm fresh eggs:

Farm fresh eggs are an opportunity to support your local economy and ecosystem, starting in the backyard and connecting to the community.

Undeniable freshness: Eggs are gathered from our hens daily, ensuring that you are getting eggs laid within the past 7 days.

Enhanced flavor and color: If you have never had all-natural eggs fresh from the farm, we invite you to taste the difference!

Added nutrition: Research has shown that compared to the official USDA nutrient data for commercial eggs, eggs raised on pasture may contain:
  • 1/3 less cholesterol
  • 1/4 less saturated fat
  • 2/3 more Vitamin A
  • 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids
  • 3 times more Vitamin E
           7 times more beta carotene

We welcome you to drop off your kitchen scraps for the ladies or for compost at time of pick-up!

Chicken Treats:
  • Fruits: watermelon, strawberries, raisins, blueberries
  • Grains: oatmeal, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, cooked rice
  • Veggies: lettuce, broccoli, corn, carrots, pumpkin, garlic, sweet potatoes, cabbage, zucchini, squash
  • Herbs: most herbs, dried or fresh

Not Safe for Chickens:
  • Apple seeds, avocado, uncooked beans, candy, chocolate, citrus, dried rice, onions, raw/green potatoes, salt (in excess), eggplant
